• Buying, selling, or browsing lawful consumer goods.
• Using platform features for your own non-commercial benefit.

Prohibited uses include:

• Uploading or distributing unlawful, offensive, or culturally inappropriate content.
• Selling items that violate Islamic principles (e.g., alcohol, gambling tools, indecent clothing).
• Violating Somali or international laws.
• Hacking, phishing, or introducing malicious software.

4. Orders and Transactions

• Order Confirmation: Orders are only confirmed upon full payment.
• Pricing: Prices include applicable local taxes. Astaan may adjust prices anytime.
• Payment Methods: Zaad, EVC Plus, Sahal, Visa/Mastercard (where available).
• Order Cancellation: Astaan may cancel orders due to stock errors or policy violations.

5. Shipping and Delivery

• Regions: Currently serving Mogadishu, Somalia.
• Timeframe: 1–3 business days.
• Fees: Shown at checkout based on area.
• Failures: Redelivery fees apply if caused by incorrect address or absence.

6. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

• Returns accepted within 7 days if item is unused and in original packaging.
• Refunds processed within 7–14 business days.
• Non-returnable: hygiene items, undergarments, custom orders.

7. Vendor Responsibilities

• List products clearly with truthful descriptions.
• Maintain quality and shipping timelines.
• Do not sell items prohibited by Somali culture or Islamic law.

8. Community Guidelines and Modesty Policy

• Content and products must comply with Islamic modesty and Somali cultural values.
• Astaan may remove items or suspend vendors for violations.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and materials on the platform are the property of Astaan Shop or its licensors. No content may be reused without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

Astaan is not liable for:

• Force majeure delays.
• Product misuse or vendor issues.

We are liable for:

• Delivery issues caused by our own team.
• Platform-related technical faults.

11. Data Privacy

We collect only essential personal data for order processing and customer experience. We adhere to Somali data protection practices and Islamic ethical guidelines.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

• We may suspend accounts for fraud or repeated violations.
• You may close your account anytime by contacting our support.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Somali law and Islamic principles. Disputes will be resolved through mediation or local arbitration where possible.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. You will be notified of major updates, and continued use of the platform implies agreement.
